  41. Patch Description:   This is an optional patch to prevent DRDOS from
  42. padding the environment of exepacked utilities.

  44. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
  45.  
  46. 1.  Remove the attributes from IBMDOS.COM.
  47.  
  48.     ATTRIB -RSH C:\IBMDOS.COM <press enter>
  49.  
  50. 2.  Copy this file to another subdirectory (for instance it can be stored
  51. in your DRDOS subdirectory and called IBMDOS.OLD) or to a disk and then
  52. stored with your originals.
  53.  
  54. 3.  From the subdirectory (or diskette) where the IBMDOS.326 file is
  55. currently located type:
  56.  
  57.      XCOPY IBMDOS.326 C:\IBMDOS.COM /R  <press enter>
  58.  
  59.         REMEMBER:  If you have compressed your C: drive you will also need to
  60. copy this file to the uncompressed drive.

  65. Wizardry 7 - Crusaders of the Dark Savant  -  apply this patch.

  67. Vshield                                    -  apply this patch.

  69. F15 - Strike Eagle III                     -  apply this patch and use
  70. MEMMAX -U in Autoexec.bat

  73. NOTE:
  74.  
  75. After installing this patch there are some other applications that may
  76. return "Packed file corrupt" errors.  This may sound like a severe problem
  77. but all you need to do is type MEMMAX -L prior to starting the application.
  78.  The easiest way to do this is create a batch file that will turn off lower
  79. memory (MEMMAX -L) for the application in question and then turn it back on
  80. (MEMMAX +L) once you have exited that application. Word Perfect, for
  81. example, will occasionally need this adjustment if used with this patch. 
  82. The solution would be the following batch file:
